The semester also includes a program-funded immersion week with academic sessions, company interactions, and the course "Sustainability and Responsibility".

Year 2

Master's thesis (30 ECTS) within the area of finance and choose one of the following opportunities (30 ECTS):
In the second year, you focus on your Master’s thesis (30 or 15 ECTS), which can be combined with elective courses or an exchange semester at a partner university.
Students who complete the MFIN Business Project (15 ECTS) are eligible to write a condensed 15 ECTS Master's thesis.
The Master's thesis allows you to explore a topic of particular interest while developing analytical, research, and project management skills. It may take the form of a research paper or a case study addressing a real-world financial problem. The work is supervised by a faculty advisor and is typically completed in pairs.
MFIN Business Project (internship)
The MFIN Business Project / Internship Course offers you the opportunity to apply what you have learned in a real-world setting while gaining valuable professional experience. This unique, double-component course combines a 15 ECTS internship and project with a 15 ECTS Master’s thesis, allowing you to bridge academic theory with hands-on practice.
You can take the MFIN Business Project in semester 2, 3, or 4, once you have successfully completed at least 30 ECTS from your studies.
You are responsible for securing your own internship placement, which must last at least eight weeks. The internship forms the basis for both your project work and your Master’s thesis, allowing you to explore topics aligned with your career goals.
Please note that students who choose the MFIN Business Project are not eligible to apply for the Executive Trainee Module.
