Center for Municipality Governance
Our mission is to facilitate the accumulation of knowledge and expertise regarding Municipality Governance (Kommunal Ekonomi in Swedish) in research and education and spread this through academic publications, popular science work, seminars/events and workshops.
Research topics include public rankings, the role of controllers and CFOs, performance measurement and control in networks, and governance of (and for) digitalization. We work with researchers in Sweden as well as internationally.
Our research goals are aligned with the Stockholm School of Economics’ basic mission to strengthen Swedish competitiveness through research and science-based education.
The Center is funded by various research grants for ongoing projects from e.g. Stockholms Stad, and Region Jönköping.
