MSc-PhD Parallel Enrollment Track
The MSc-PhD Parallel Enrollment Track is designed for SSE's first-year MSc students who already know that they would like to pursue a PhD after completing their Master studies.
You apply to any of our PhD programs through the regular admissions process and compete with all other applicants. If admitted, you begin your PhD studies in the following fall semester instead of continuing with the second year of your MSc program. To be eligible for parallel enrollment, you must have completed 60 ECTS credits during the first year of your MSc studies.
The MSc-PhD Parallel Enrollment Track allows you to reduce the combined duration of your MSc and PhD studies at SSE from six years (two years of MSc studies and four years of PhD studies) to five years. The track is intended for highly motivated students and requires strong academic performance and a consistent study pace.
