The “Let’s talk about impact!” series was created to give SSE students the opportunity to engage with questions related to technology, innovation, sustainability, and responsibility. Through talks, seminars, and discussions, we explore how technology can help rethink existing systems, create new forms of value, and contribute to more sustainable and resilient societies.
As technological developments increasingly shape business models, industries, and everyday life, future leaders need to understand not only how technology creates value, but also the societal and environmental consequences it can produce. The series therefore focuses on how technology can be developed and applied in ways that contribute positively to society while remaining economically viable.
Throughout the series, students encounter perspectives from areas such as climate tech, circular business models, AI, sustainable innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. Some sessions focus on concrete business applications and ventures, while others explore broader ethical, societal, and systemic questions connected to technological change.
The series is closely connected to SSE’s educational philosophy, FREE, particularly the reflective, empathetic, entrepreneurial, and responsible dimensions of leadership.
More broadly, the series connects to SSE’s ambition to strengthen Sweden’s long-term competitiveness through innovation, entrepreneurship, and responsible leadership in areas that will shape the future economy and society.
