Tuition fees

BSc, MSc and PhD level

EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens

Citizens (passport holders) of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland are not required to pay tuition fees.

Exception for Ukrainian citizens 

Citizens (passport holders) of Ukraine who get admitted to any of SSE's Bachelor or Master programs are not required to pay tuition fees during their study time at SSE, regardless of being covered by EU's Temporary Protection Directive or not. 

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss/Ukrainian citizens

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss/Ukrainian citizens are generally required to pay tuition fees.

• BSc programs: SEK 360,000 per program if you are required to pay

• MSc programs: SEK 360,000 per program if you are required to pay

• PhD programs: free of charge 
  
  All admitted PhD students receive a scholarship from SSE and are guaranteed funding throughout the program, subject to satisfactory performance as determined by the faculty. The current scholarship amount is SEK 26,000 per month.

SSE generally follows the same regulations regarding tuition fees as all public universities in Sweden. Check if you are required to pay here.

Payment of the fees

Pay your tuition here. The fees at SSE are paid in installments (1 per semester) and are due before the semester starts (June 1, December 31, August 31, December 31, etc.).

In case you don't need to pay the tuition fee, you will be asked to provide a proof of your status (e.g. EU/EEA passport, decision from the Migration Board granting you the residence permit in Sweden). It is your status by the payment deadline that defines whether you are required to pay or not. E.g. if you are in the process of receiving a EU passport or Swedish residence permit and you get it before June 1, you are not required to pay. If you receive it after June 1, you are required to pay the fees for the first semester, but will be exempted from paying for the next one.
