Congratulations on your admission to the SSE MBA Executive Format! We look forward to welcoming you to the School. Below, you will find general information about what to expect before, during, and after the program.

  • Before the program start

    Welcome

You will receive - or may already have received - a welcome email from your Program Manager, who will be your main point of contact throughout the program.

    Formal acceptance letter

Your formal acceptance letter is attached to the welcome email.

    Invoicing

Please provide your Program Manager with the correct invoicing details and let them know whether you would like to pay the tuition fee in full before the start of the program or in installments.

    Before the program starts

Each campus week requires preparation, and the first week is no exception.

In October, you will receive detailed information and instructions regarding the preparations required before the program starts on December 7, 2026. The list below is subject to change. The same information will also be available on Canvas, the program portal, which will open in November.

Please make sure to review all preparatory information well in advance of the program start. If you have any questions, please contact your Program Manager.

Preparations before the first campus week

    • Read the assigned book
    • Access and review Canvas once it opens in November
    • Complete the Program Expectations survey
    • Attend two introductory webinars in Finance
    • Complete and submit selected SSE Finance case studies
    • Prepare the mandatory assignments in Accounting and Economics

Get in touch with your Program Manager

We are here to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact your Program Manager at any time.

    Accommodation

For participants traveling to Stockholm, SSE recommends a number of hotels located close to campus. Discounted rates are available for SSE participants. You can find the list of recommended hotels and discount codes here.

    Visas

Citizens of countries that do not require a visa to enter Sweden may travel to Sweden and stay for up to three months within a one-year period without a visa, including for participation in the SSE MBA Executive Format.

Participants from countries that require a visa to enter Sweden must apply for a visa through the relevant Swedish embassy or consulate. Please note that, as the SSE MBA Executive Format is not considered full-time university studies, participants are generally not eligible for a student visa.

Some program modules will take place outside Sweden. These modules may require additional visas or permits depending on the destination and the participant’s nationality. It is the sole responsibility of each participant to determine what documentation is required and, where necessary, apply for and obtain the appropriate permits or visas.

  • Introduction

    Program start

The SSE MBA Executive Format begins on Monday, December 7, 2026. Coffee, tea, and sandwiches will be served from 08:00, and the program starts at 08:30.

During the first days of the program, you will be introduced to the academic structure of the MBA and begin building the foundation for your learning environment and cohort experience. You will meet fellow participants, your Cohort Director, and your Program Manager. Members of the admissions team will also be present during the first day.

Please note that evening activities are planned throughout the week, and several days will end late in the evening. We therefore recommend reserving the entire week — including evenings — for the program.

Physical attendance during campus weeks is mandatory.

    Program schedule

You can find the scheduled dates for the SSE MBA Executive Format 2026 here. Campus weeks begin on Monday at 08:30 and conclude on Friday at 17:00.

  • Your life during and after your studies at SSE

Studying at SSE opens a lot of doors for you and we would love to see which path you decide to take. Welcome to SSE!

    During your studies

    Reflection groups

Reflection is one of the central pedagogical tools employed in our program and aims at shaping a mental and social space where meaning can be created, and learning takes place.

Already during the first campus week, you are divided into reflection groups of 6-8 people. The groups are put together to be as diverse as possible when it comes to gender, age, nationalities, industries, and positions. These groups are consistent throughout the 18 months of the program. The participants in your group will be your closest study buddies, and you will support each other when challenges arise.

Each reflection group is also responsible for one in class reflection session and one social activity. More information on this during the first campus week.

    Leadership Live program

The SSE MBA Executive Format offers the LeadershipLive program which focuses on empowering you to realize your full potential personally, professionally, and as a global leader.

It is designed to be a comprehensive cornerstone of your development, which has multiple touchpoints and runs throughout the entire 18 months of the program. The goal is to support your development as a global leader capable of reflecting on and creating impactful change at the organizational, team, and individual levels.

    After your studies

    Career possibilities

Our alumni work in a vast variety of fields, industries, and countries. Most accept new job offers during or after their SSE MBA studies in their current or a new organization. Some settle down in a brand-new destination or found their own company. We strongly encourage you to check our alumni stories and, who knows, maybe you get some inspiration for what you would like to work with once you're done with your studies.

    Life-long connections at SSE

At SSE, we aim to build connections that will last a lifetime. We engage our alumni in the life of the School as valued supporters, advocates, and lifelong learners who contribute to and benefit from connections.

As alum you will be part of the SSE alumni network, the SSE MBA network, and of course the network from your cohort. You will receive the school’s newsletter, invitations to webinars and other events, and can be part of SSE’s Linkedin alumni group. As alum, you are also welcome to apply for support from the SSE Business Lab, our successful incubator, should you embark on an entrepreneurial adventure.

If you want to give back, you can join SSE’s MSc Mentorship Program and become a mentor for one of our ambitious Master students, as well as take part in the SSE MBA’s different information sessions and witness about your experience with us.
