The House of Governance and Public Policy (GaPP) is an interdisciplinary platform at the Stockholm School of Economics dedicated to research, education, and dialogue on governance and public policy. We were established in response to a growing societal need: today’s most pressing challenges, from security and resilience to health, migration, education, and economic development, rarely fit within traditional sectoral or disciplinary boundaries.
GaPP brings together more than 100 affiliated researchers and eight research centers, creating a collaborative environment where scholars, policymakers, business leaders, and civil society actors can address complex governance challenges together. Through research, policy dialogue, leadership development, and education across Bachelor, Master, PhD, and executive levels, we work to strengthen institutional capacity and contribute to evidence-based policymaking.
As a coordinated framework for interdisciplinary research and cross-sector engagement, GaPP serves as a bridge between academia and practice. Building on the Stockholm School of Economics’ longstanding mission to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness through research and education, we extend this mission into the domains of governance, public policy, and societal resilience.
