About the book

Moral Responsibility: Being Human explores one of the defining challenges of our time: how individuals take responsibility in increasingly system-driven organizations and societies.

Modern organizations rely heavily on rules, procedures, schedules, algorithms, and governance systems. While these structures can create fairness, accountability, and security, they can also become something to hide behind—sometimes at the expense of compassion and human judgment.

Drawing on moral philosophy, constitutional principles, organizational research, and everyday workplace dilemmas, Louise Bringselius examines the relationship between systems and human responsibility. The book argues for a more humane society built on trust, moral awareness, courage, and strong relationships.

It is intended for leaders, employees, policymakers, business executives, public-sector professionals, and anyone interested in ethics, leadership, governance, preparedness, and the societal implications of artificial intelligence.
