What ambassadors do
Ambassadors take part in a range of activities in Sweden and internationally. These include school visits, fairs, campus tours, webinars, and online conversations with prospective students. Ambassadors also contribute content and support events organized by the Marketing and Student Recruitment team.
As an ambassador, you communicate your own experience of studying at SSE and provide practical insights into programs, campus life, and application processes. The role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to listen and respond to different audiences.
There are two main parts of the Student Ambassador Program:
- Bachelor Student Ambassador Program
- Master Student Ambassador Program
Bachelor Student Ambassador Program
As a Bachelor student ambassador, you can engage in several different ways, and the program is divided into sections depending on your background, experience and interests. By sharing personal experiences and your own student journey, you will inspire young prospective SSE students to take the next step on their educational path. The highlight of each year is the Bachelor Open House on campus where all Bachelor student ambassadors are engaged as hosts.
-
BSc High School Ambassadors (Swedish-speaking students)
As a Swedish-speaking high school ambassador, you will visit high schools in Sweden, participate in national fairs, lead campus tours, and hold presentations for prospective Swedish high school students. -
BSc IB Ambassadors
As an International IB ambassador, your work will focus on international students studying the IB program in Sweden. You will visit IB schools, participate in online webinars, lead campus visits and support our international BSc recruitment activities. -
BSc Unibuddy Ambassadors
As a BSc Unibuddy Ambassador, you will engage with prospective and newly admitted students by answering questions and sharing your experiences of student life at SSE on the digital platform Unibuddy. In this role, you represent SSE by chatting with both international and Swedish prospects.
Master Student Ambassador Program
As a Master student ambassador, you will represent SSE by connecting with prospective and newly admitted students in Sweden and around the world. By sharing your experiences and insights, you help future students understand what it’s like to study at SSE and support them in making informed decisions.
Your main role is to engage with students on Unibuddy, where you answer questions and share your experiences of student life at SSE. You will also take part in webinars, events, and other activities where you represent SSE and inspire future students.
The program runs throughout the academic year and is designed to fit alongside your studies. It offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communication, public speaking, recruitment, and student engagement.
Your role includes:
- Answering questions from prospective and admitted students via Unibuddy
- Supporting newly admitted students by engaging on the Goin platform and helping them prepare for their start at SSE
- Participating in webinars, virtual events, and online information sessions
- Supporting on-campus events such as the Master Open House
- Sharing your experiences of studying at SSE
- Contributing to blog posts and other digital content
In addition, you will be invited to sign up for activities such as the Master Open House and other recruitment activities. While participation is coordinated based on availability, ambassadors are expected to contribute to these activities during the year.
