Stockholm School of Economics Association
The Stockholm School of Economics Association was established in 1903 following a donation from Swedish banker K. A. Wallenberg. The initiative to found a business school originated from the Swedish business community, which sought to strengthen education and research in economics and business.
From its founding, the Association has played a central role in the development of the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). Its members—business leaders and representatives from industry—have contributed both strategically and financially to the School’s growth.
Today, the Association continues to support SSE’s long-term development and serves as a link between the School and the business community. This relationship remains an important part of SSE’s model, contributing to the relevance of its education and research.
