Writing a thesis, literature review or assignment? The library offer research consultations, 30 – 40 minutes in-person or online, with a research librarian to help you find relevant sources, choose databases and improve your search strategy.
You can book a session on your own, with a thesis partner or as a group.
We're happy to support your search process, but subject-specific questions, such as refining your research question or choosing theories, should be discussed with your teacher or supervisor.
Think about what you're working on and what you would like help with. Bring your assignment instructions, research topic, research question, and any sources or keywords you have already tried.
You and the librarian will discuss your topic, identify useful keywords, choose relevant databases and try different search strategies. You may also look at filters, source types and ways to narrow or broaden your search.
You should leave with a clearer search strategy and a list of possible sources or next steps. The librarian may also follow up with notes, tips or additional resources.
