The MSc program in Finance (MFIN) is taught by experienced faculty with expertise across key areas of finance. Core courses cover capital markets, valuation (including options), fixed income, and capital structure. Electives allow you to specialize in areas such as value investing, restructuring, private equity, sustainable finance, entrepreneurial finance and international finance.

Program structure

The program begins with a shared first semester that provides a strong foundation in finance and introduces the key concepts, tools, and perspectives shaping today’s financial markets.

From the second semester onwards, you specialize in one of two areas:

The second year combines elective courses, exchange opportunities at partner universities, and a Master thesis within the chosen specialization. The flexible program structure allows you to tailor their studies to your academic interests and career goals.

Alumni perspective

I decided to study the MSc program in Finance due to the appealing combination of an interesting set of courses that provided me with a strong foundation, as well as the exciting career prospects it offered upon graduation. Many of these finance courses are structured around real-life case studies, which makes the learning experience extra relevant and engaging. Instead of just reading textbooks, I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge to real-world situations, and I find this hands-on approach incredibly valuable.
