Through the series, students are encouraged to:
-
Understand why security, technological dependence, and crisis preparedness are becoming important considerations for businesses and their leaders.
-
Explore how changing security needs create new markets and opportunities for technology-driven entrepreneurship and innovation.
-
Examine the strategic decisions and trade-offs companies face when developing, investing in, and adopting security-related technologies.
-
Critically evaluate the risks, limitations, and ethical implications of these technologies, particularly when safety and human lives are at stake.
-
Reflect on the responsibilities of future business leaders when technological innovation, commercial interests, and societal security intersect.
The series is intentionally interdisciplinary and designed to complement SSE’s existing programs by creating a space for reflection, discussion, and dialogue among students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and practitioners.
