Wallenberg International Fellows Program
The Wallenberg International Fellows Program (WIFP) is a highly selective scholarship program designed to prepare outstanding Master students for leadership roles in the public and private sectors. The program combines international academic studies, professional experience, and global networking opportunities.
All first-year MSc students at SSE, except double degree students, are eligible to apply.
About the program
The program begins after the first year of the MSc studies with a summer internship in Washington, D.C. In recent years, fellows have completed internships at organizations including Medtronic, Limiar Capital, the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Atlantic Council, the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank, the World Resources Institute, and Agora Partnerships.
The internship is followed by an exchange semester in the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Part of the Walsh School of Foreign Service, the Landegger Program focuses on the intersection of international business, public policy, and diplomacy.
Each year, up to three SSE students are admitted to the program and awarded a scholarship covering tuition fees, flights, housing, and living expenses. The program also welcomes students from Georgetown University for internships in Stockholm.
