Data Analytics Track
The Data Analytics Track (DAT) is open to all SSE MSc students and combines a selection of existing courses focused on data analytics, programming, and quantitative methods. Upon successful completion of the requirements, a note confirming completion of the Data Analytics Track will be added to the degree certificate.
Please note that it is not possible to complete both the Data Analytics Track and the Sustainability Track. Students may only receive one of the two track certificates.
Requirements for the Data Analytics Track
Part 1: Develop proficiency in Python
The courses included in the Data Analytics Track are based on the programming language Python. Students are expected to have sufficient knowledge of Python to successfully complete the coursework.
SSE offers an introductory course in Python. Students may also develop the necessary skills through self-study or online learning platforms such as Coursera, Udemy, DataCamp, or Dataquest.
Step 2: Complete three DAT courses (22.5 ECTS)
Students must successfully complete three eligible courses from the approved list below, corresponding to a total of 22.5 ECTS credits.
A maximum of one course marked with an asterisk (*) may be included. These courses contain less programming content than the others.
