Double degree with Sciences Po (Paris School of International Affairs)
SSE has partnered with Sciences Po, one of the world’s leading universities in the social sciences, to offer a double degree with a focus on politics, public affairs, and international studies at the Master level.
Double degree with Sciences Po
The double degree program is designed for students seeking careers in diplomacy, international organizations, public affairs, international business, and finance, where an understanding of political and societal developments is increasingly important.
The two-year program is open to qualified applicants from around the world. Students spend their first year at Sciences Po in Paris, studying one of the eligible programs at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA):
Available Master programs at Sciences Po:
- Master in Environmental Policy
- Master in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action
- Master in International Economic Policy
- Master in International Energy Transitions
- Master in International Development
- Master in International Governance and Diplomacy
- Master in International Security
During the second year, students continue their studies at SSE in Stockholm in the MSc program in Business Innovation, Economics, or Finance.
Several program combinations are available, and applicants must meet the application requirements of both institutions and their chosen Master programs.
Students enrolled in PSIA and the MSc program in Business Innovation are strongly encouraged to select the Project Management concentration at Sciences Po to facilitate completion of the double degree within two years.
Upon successful completion of the program, students receive two Master degrees, one from Sciences Po and one from SSE.
To qualify for both degrees, students must fulfill the graduation requirements of both institutions. Completing the double degree typically requires approximately 135 ECTS credits, compared with 120 ECTS credits for a standard SSE MSc degree. Depending on course selection and study pace, some students may require more than two years to complete the program.
