In an inspiring initiative to promote gender equality in sports, the Center for Sports & Business at the Stockholm School of Economics hosted the groundbreaking event "Collective Visibility - Leveraging the Power of Women in Sports" on Thursday, March 7.

To highlight the International Women's Day, researchers from Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) and Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA) have compiled a brief overview of studies that have changed the view of economic differences between women and men. The policy brief illustrates the importance of the need for better data in order to effectively design policies that can reduce disparities.

With government backing and collaboration from 15 partners, including Stockholm School of Economics, this initiative is set to change governance and tackle societal challenges. It signals a shift towards sustainability in Sweden's public sector.

Patrick Widuch (b. 1993) is being awarded this year's Anders Wall Scholarship in collaboration with SSE Business Lab. The scholarship amount is 200,000 SEK.
