SSE initiatives in art, sport, and technology bring together research, education, and external collaboration in areas that extend beyond traditional academic disciplines. These initiatives connect students, faculty, and partners to explore new ideas, develop knowledge, and create impact in business and society.
Initiatives at SSE
Education and knowledge development are processes involving not only the mind but also broadening your senses. That is why we have created the three SSE Initiatives - Art, Sport and Tech.
Beyond the classroom
Art Initiative
Embeds art in the academic environment and has transformed several classrooms into permanent art installations, created in collaboration with internationally renowned artists. The initiative also curates rotating exhibitions across campus, showcasing video art, sculptures, paintings, and more.
Sport Initiative
Immersive and dialogic, consisting of action- based activities in which students engage physically, cognitively, and mindfully. The initiative primarily works with inspirational lectures, forums, field trips, physical exercise, as well as other activities and events.
Tech Initiative
Empowers SSE students to tackle global challenges by bringing together thought leaders and business experts from the tech industry. It encourages critical discussion and reflection on technological advancements in academic seminars, and teaches how to use and leverage technology through practical workshops.
Alumni story
An education from SSE gives you an analytical toolbox that is valuable no matter what type of career you end up in. The knowledge you gain is both deep and wide – all in a setting that is highly intellectually stimulating.
New perspectives
Our initiatives create space for new perspectives on business and society by connecting disciplines that are not always studied together. Through these initiatives, SSE:
- integrates perspectives from fields such as culture, digitalization, and human performance into business education and research
- collaborates with artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and industry partners
- develops courses, events, and projects that complement traditional academic programs
- creates opportunities for students and researchers to engage with real-world contexts beyond the classroom
