Year 2

Semester 3 (at a CEMS partner school)

Semester 4 (at SSE)

In the second year, students pursue the CEMS MIM. CEMS MIM includes a one-week block seminar at the start of the fall, a core course in the area of global strategy, and a semester at a CEMS partner school.

All students take global management practices and choose from a range of elective courses. In the spring term, students complete the CEMS Business Project, which, together with the MIB Research Project from the first year, fulfills the Master’s thesis requirement.

Elective courses allow you to tailor the program to your interests. Four electives (30 ECTS) are required, including language courses if needed. You may also take up to two additional courses (15 ECTS). Advanced courses are available in areas such as economics, accounting, finance, and marketing, as well as sustainability and data analytics.

Please note that some elements of the CEMS curriculum involve additional fees (e.g. the block seminar may cost up to €300 and central administrative expenses €110). These fees are not related to the SSE degree and do not cover educational resources or activities.

Alternative options for the CEMS MIM

If you choose not to pursue the CEMS MIM, you may study abroad at a partner university through SSE’s exchange program or apply to the Wallenberg International Fellows Program.
