Coach Forum on Limnos, Greece

This week, the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) gather the coaches and leaders working closest to our country’s top athletes in Limnos, Greece, to participate in a coach forum

The forum is a meeting place full of knowledge, exchange of experience, and new perspectives – with valuable contributions also from researchers and experts.

As a partner to SOK, we at the Center for Sports and Business had the privilege to participate. Professor Martin Carlsson Wall and Executive Director Anna Laurell Nash gave a lecture and joined expert groups together with the coaches – a truly inspiring and insightful experience.

💡 Reflections:
Swedish sport, together with its dedicated coaches, is highly skilled at optimizing athlete performance within the resources available. Many athletes reach absolute world-class level. To sustain and strengthen this success, it will be important for the surrounding organizations to develop in step and support at the same high standard.

👉 A world-class athlete needs a world-class organisation.

Innovation and fresh thinking are essential to take new steps – but preserving and creating stability around what we already do exceptionally well can be just as crucial.

Thank you all coaches, experts and SOK for a great few days!
