Six new researchers join the House of Innovation

Patrick Oko Quaye joins as a postdoctoral research fellow 

Patrick Oko Quaye joins the House of Innovation as a postdoctoral research fellow in September 2026, working with Constantin Blome. He completed his PhD at the University of Exeter and holds a master’s degree from Sciences Po in Paris. 

His research investigates how biodiversity and nature enter organizational sensemaking, and how the responsibilities that come with them emerge, evolve, and are enabled or constrained within organizations. At the House of Innovation,  Patrick will explore sustainable transitions and supply chain governance in extreme contexts. 

Five new PhD students start at the House of Innovation 

Five PhD students are also starting at the House of Innovation this fall. 

Paula Wuth joins the PhD program as part of the Initiative on Art and Innovation. She is an associate professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she teaches in the the MBA program, Advanced Design master’s program, and undergraduate courses at the Design School and the Institute for Sustainable Development. Her research examines the interplay between art, design, innovation, and strategy, mainly through collaborative projects with organisations.  She has developed methods and practices that have been applied across private, public, and academic settings. 

Qin (Christine) Tang joins the PhD program in Business Administration. Her research interests are in strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. She completed a Research Master in Business Research at Maastricht University and has worked as a research assistant on several strategy and innovation projects. 

Ruiqi (Rachel) Ma joins the PhD program with research interests in human-AI interaction in organizations, knowledge management, and innovation. She holds a double master’s degree in Management Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Innovation Management from Aalborg University. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a research assistant at Tsinghua University on employee interactions with large language models (LLMs) and completed a one-year AI Engineer internship.  

Tianchen Yang completed his MsC in Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he developed a strong interest in empirical research and organizational challenges. He now joins the House of Innovation as a PhD student to continue his research on supply chain management, with particular interest in how firms adapt and transform their supply chains in response to geopolitical risks and disruptions. 

Xinyi Wang joins the PhD program with research on game-theoretic models and their applications, including supply chain channel selection, platform economics, and the use of AI in livestreaming. She is from Zhejiang Province, China, and completed her master’s degree in Wuhan. Her doctoral work will continue to focus on supply chains and platform economics. 

New perspectives on innovation research 

Together, the six researchers add new perspectives to research already underway at the House of Innovation, from sustainable supply chains and platform governance to the role of art and design in how organizations develop and explore future possibilities.
