Marco Mismetti receives AIDAF Young Scholars Award
Marco Mismetti, Assistant Professor at the House of Innovation and the Center for Family Enterprise, has received the AIDAF Young Scholars Award in memory of Guido Corbetta for his contributions to family business research.
The award is presented by the Scientific Committee of AIDAF, the Italian Association of Family Businesses. It honors Guido Corbetta, who held the AIDAF-EY Chair in Strategic Management in Family Business and co-founded AIDAF with Alberto Falck.
Marco received the award at the 2026 AIDAF’s annual award ceremony in Palermo, Italy, from AIDAF President Cristina Bombassei, the Corbetta family, and Alessia Mosca, Chair of AIDAF’s Scientific Committee. The same evening, AIDAF presented the Alberto Falck Award, which this year went to Bolton, along with several other company awards.
“I’m grateful for this recognition and for the attention and support it brings to young academics in the family business field. For me, the award is encouragement to continue exploring how entrepreneurial families navigate entrepreneurship and continuity over time, and to contribute to this growing field of research combining theoretical and practical relevance,” says Marco Mismetti.
AIDAF highlighted Marco’s research on entrepreneurship and family firms, as well as his international academic experience, as bringing new perspectives to the study of entrepreneurial families and business continuity over time.
His work has been published in leading international journals, such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Family Business Review, and Long Range Planning, among others.
