House of Innovation goes to AOM 2026
Fifteen researchers and a dedicated event duo traveled to Philadelphia in August to represent the House of Innovation at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM).
AOM 2026 welcomed close to 10,000 members from around the world, with more than 3,000 in-person sessions and 685 additional sessions available on demand. For five full days, scholars gathered in Philadelphia to present new research, debate ideas, and build collaborations across the field.
A schedule packed with presentations and panels
House of Innovation’s delegation – Valentina Tartari, Stefan Haefliger, Marco Mismetti, Mohamed Genedy, Qiujie Qiu, Vanessa Lind, Krystal Zhao-Jansson, Riccardo Masiero, Ricardo Coelho da Silva, Rui Sun, Maria Cecilia Flores Coluccio, Lorenzo Palladini, Korinzia Toniolo, Bomi Kim, Ryo Taniguchi, Julia Tollin, and Majlin Skjetne – took part in paper presentations, panel discussions, recruitment interviews, party organizing, and workshops throughout the conference.
Valentina Tartari welcomed a big crowd to the TIM Division breakfast, our PhD students and postdoctoral researchers each presented their work, Stefan Haefliger, Marco Mismetti, and Ricardo Masiero organized and moderated symposiums and workshops.
When flights were canceled or personal circumstances got in the way, several researchers also stepped in for one another – a small but telling example of the collegial culture at House of Innovation.
Recognition for House of Innovation research
Maria Cecilia Flores Coluccio’s paper, “How Creative Re-framing Happens: A Longitudinal Case Study of an Open Innovation Challenge,” co-authored with Santi Furnari (Bayes Business School), was named a finalist for the OMT Division’s Best Paper on Environmental & Social Practices award, recognizing House of Innovation research on innovation and organizing. "Roof of Innovation" – a party to remember
On Sunday, August 2, House of Innovation hosted its now-traditional AOM summer party “Roof of Innovation” – organized this year by Julia Tollin and Majlin Skjetne – bringing together colleagues, collaborators, and friends from across the field for an evening of food, drinks, and dancing.
Between parties and academic sessions, the group made time to explore the city of Philadelphia, from the Reading Terminal Market and the famous Rocky statue to the magic gardens and a Philly cheesesteak lunch.

For the House of Innovation, AOM 2026 brought new research discussions, connections, and collaborations, with plenty of conversations to continue back in Stockholm.
