His findings emphasize the value of sharing one's failures with co-workers for organizational learning and well-being and promoting a mindset focused on growth, rather than on upholding a fixed state of affairs. Jonas investigates the differences between shame and guilt in relating to one's failures and shows how guilt supports the sharing of failures while shame hinders it.
