The Board of Directors of the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) has extended Lars Strannegård’s appointment as President until May 31, 2027. “The Board is very happy and grateful that Lars Strannegård accepts an extension of his appointment as President of SSE. Lars has done an outstanding job as President. SSE now has a leading international position with highly ranked master programs, our Executive Education is among the top 10 and our research is world-class. All education takes place in English and around 50% of our master students and many of our faculty members are international.

Women make up only 20% of researchers working in finance departments at leading universities and their representation decreases with seniority, data from the Swedish House of Finance shows. Sweden has the second highest female representation after Australia, but on the professorial level, it ranks third.
