Ukrainian civil servants preparing for the country’s EU accession talks recently received negotiation training led by researchers from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).

On September 15th, Jonathan Schunnesson defended his doctoral dissertation in a packed KAW on the subject of young professionals and their navigation of work life.

As a first step towards Wellbeing Growth in Stockholm we have created and measured a Wellbeing Index among people living in Stockholm. The results are presented in our newly released Stockholm Wellbeing Index Report. There we also present the WEC (Wellbeing Equality Coefficient) and the Coffee Indicator, two unique metrics that indicate the state and potential of the people in our city.

The Royal Academy of Sciences recently hosted the conference Social Norms in Development, where PhD students and faculty from the SSE Department of Economics presented their ongoing research in the poster session.

The Center for Security and Resilience at the Stockholm School of Economics has appointed Henrik Friman as Senior Advisor. With extensive leadership experience from both national and international defense organizations, combined with academic research on strategy and leadership, Henrik brings valuable expertise to the center's mission to strengthen Sweden's total defense.

The Swedish government has appointed Martina Björkman Nyqvist, professor of economics at the Stockholm School of Economics and Executive Director of Misum, as a new member of the board of Sida. She brings extensive expertise in impact evaluation of development aid – to help ensure that aid funding is used where it can make the greatest difference.
