SSE remains among world’s top 10 in Financial Times MiM ranking
The Financial Times has ranked the Stockholm School of Economics’ (SSE) Master program in International Business among the world’s top 10 management Master programs for the second year in a row. SSE ranks ninth globally, with strong results for graduate salaries, international experience, and ESG teaching.
The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) has retained ninth place globally in the Financial Times’ Masters in Management ranking 2026. SSE also remains the highest-ranked school in the Nordic and Baltic region.
The result means SSE has now placed among the global top 10 for two consecutive years.
“This result is encouraging at a time of considerable global uncertainty. Retaining our position among the world’s top 10 reflects the sustained work of our students, faculty, alumni and partners and demonstrates that students can rely on SSE for an academically rigorous, internationally grounded education that prepares them for a rapidly changing world” says Ciara Sutton, Program Director for the Master program in International Business at SSE.
Graduate salaries continue to rise
One of the clearest improvements in this year’s results is graduate salary. SSE also improved its performance in career progress and value for money, indicating that graduates see strong returns from their education as their careers develop.
The international character of the program remains a particular strength. For the second consecutive year, SSE ranks first globally for international course experience. This measure reflects the opportunities for students to gain international exposure as part of their studies.
SSE also ranks third globally for ESG and net-zero teaching. This category considers the extent to which environmental, social and governance issues, as well as climate solutions linked to reaching net-zero emissions, form part of the education. The measure combines alumni assessments with the amount of relevant teaching in core courses.
“International experience and responsible leadership are both integral to a high-quality business education. Combining meaningful international experience with a strong focus on ESG helps students develop the judgement to balance competing priorities, consider the wider impact of their decisions and lead responsibly throughout their careers,” says Ciara Sutton.
The Financial Times’ Masters in Management ranking is an annual assessment of leading management programs around the world. At SSE, the program assessed in the ranking is the MSc program in International Business. The ranking combines information provided by participating schools with survey responses from alumni three years after graduation.
