Over a hundred students wanted to build Nobel Night’s secret afterparty

The Students’ Nobel NightCap (SNNC) is the official afterparty of the Nobel Banquet and one of Stockholm’s largest student-organized events. Since 1978, students from four Stockholm universities have taken turns hosting the party. In 2026, it returns to the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).

There is plenty to do before the first guest walks through the doors. Students create the party from scratch, developing its secret theme and building everything from bars and dance floors to decorations and entertainment. Teams also work with food and beverages, logistics, safety, lighting, sound, communication, and corporate partnerships.

The practical work of preparing the venue will start a few days before the actual party. Around 100 Room and Process Managers are needed, along with approximately 200 “Nighties,” who help build the venue and run the party itself.

The result is revealed on Dec. 10, when guests arrive after the Nobel Banquet. Until then, the theme stays secret – even from the guests. Photography is prohibited inside, giving Nobel Laureates and other guests a chance to celebrate away from cameras.

151 roles across eight teams

This recruitment round is looking for 151 Room and Process Managers. The largest groups are Food and Beverage, with 36 positions; Logistics, with 25; and Decor and Construction, with 24. There are also roles in Entertainment, Guest and Safety, Human Relations, Communication, and Corporate Relations.

The jobs range from building rooms and managing service to working with guest experiences, costumes, transportation, recruitment, photography, and security. Together, the teams will spend the coming months building the experience that guests will encounter on Nobel Night.
