CfSR and AOS formalize partnership
The Center for Security and Resilience (CfSR) at the Stockholm School of Economics and Akademiska Officerssällskapet i Stockholm (AOS) are formalizing their existing partnership, creating a long-term platform for collaboration.
About the partnership
Akademiska Officerssällskapet i Stockholm (AOS) is a politically independent student and alumni organization with members from universities across Stockholm, including the Stockholm School of Economics, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the Swedish Defence University, Karolinska Institutet, and Stockholm University. The organization combines academic perspectives with military experience and a strong interest in security policy and total defense.
The Center for Security and Resilience (CfSR) and AOS have already worked together to bring students, researchers, and practitioners into conversations on security and total defense. The formalized partnership provides a structure for developing that work further, including joint lectures at the Stockholm School of Economics and at least one larger joint event each year.
Why the partnership matters
“Students are an important part of both the Stockholm School of Economics and CfSR. We value their perspectives, curiosity, and ability to challenge established ways of thinking. As a student organization with a strong engagement in security and total defense, AOS is therefore a natural partner for us,” says Staffan Holmberg, Executive Director of CfSR.
The partnership will also create further opportunities for students to engage with CfSR’s research, events, and activities while strengthening the connections among students, academia, and practitioners working with security and total defense.
