As a CIVICA Ambassador, Estrid Kaarme wants to increase engagement among students for current European civic issues. Read the interview below to find out more about CIVICA and Estrid's ambitions.

The requirement to take the Swedish SAT (högskoleprovet, HP) has had negative effects on diversity among students at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). We are therefore launching a comprehensive review of our entire admissions model for the bachelor level. While this review is underway, we are removing the HP requirement starting with the next admissions round for the fall semester of 2026.

As CIVICA Ambassadors, Estrid Kaarme and Simon Warne aim to create engagement among students for current European civic issues: "AI and its impact on democracies is a particularly important matter right now."

The Stockholm School of Economics has received funding from the Swedish Research Council to bring world-leading scholar Professor Kalle Lyytinen from Case Western Reserve University, USA, to the House of Innovation. Starting in January 2026, he will help advance SSE’s research on digital infrastructures and innovation.

Assistant Professor Ting Dong is awarded the SSE Corporate Partner Research Award 2025 for her innovative work on talent management in the auditing profession. President Lars Strannegård presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

On November 7, the Stockholm City Hall was filled with music, laughter and a shared sense of accomplishment as around 330 students received their diplomas at the Stockholm School of Economics’ Bachelor Graduation ceremony.
