Understanding Retail Excellence - Lessons from the Retail Awards
CFR Early Insight breakfast seminar series #43 with Fredrik Lange, Assistant Professor.
Understanding Retail Excellence - Lessons from the Retail Awards
On November 12, this year’s Retail Awards winners will be announced. The award recognizes retailers active in the Swedish market based on their financial performance, brand strength, and customer experience management. CFR has been involved in developing the award criteria and has been represented on the jury since 2022.
But what is retail excellence - and how can it be measured in a rapidly changing market? In this Early Insight, Fredrik Lange draws on his experience as a jury member to discuss how to define meaningful competitive categories, assess performance across different stages of the business cycle, and distinguish temporary success from sustained excellence. Most importantly, he will share what we can learn from retailers that perform well over time, and how the Retail Awards can help us better understand the drivers of excellence in retailing.
