Artist Talk: Tone Hansen
Join us for the first Firestorm Talk this autumn, starting out with someone who has just been appointed to one of the key positions in the Nordic art scene: Tone Hansen.
On September 1, Hansen was appointed as the director of the newly merged Moderna Museet, which also includes ArkDes and Statens Konstråd, a position that cements her at the forefront of Nordic art and culture. Before then, Hansen led Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Norway's first private museum, and later MUNCH in Oslo, home to the world's largest collection of Edvard Munch's work.
In this talk, Firestorm partner Michael Storåkers sits down with Tone Hansen to explore her journey into being a leading voice on leadership and vision in the art world, her new undertaking of Sweden's largest cultural institution, and what has shaped her on the way there.
With this talk, Firestorm Talks expands its program beyond artists to include the women and non-binary professionals shaping the art world from every side, as curators, directors, leaders and innovators in the cultural sector.
