Molly Grad is a PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art in London, an artist-in-residence at the House of Innovation, and an interdisciplinary artist and writer. Working across sculpture, painting, textiles, and public interventions, she draws attention to hidden histories and marginalised experiences while exploring redemptive modes of expression. Her work is driven by questions concerning the social and environmental responsibilities associated with creativity and acts of creation.

Grad spent twenty years as a designer for fashion houses including Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent. She also designed costumes for artists and filmmakers such as Beyoncé and Martin Scorsese. After leaving the fashion industry in 2019, she turned to art, seeking to challenge social hierarchies and engage with the human experience in ways her previous career had not allowed.
