How to apply
Apply in 5 easy steps described below:
-
1. Submit application #1 to UniversityAdmissions.se. Apply from October 16, 2026 to January 15, 2027.
Submit documents to UniversityAdmissions.se
Submit all documents related to your high school studies to UniversityAdmissions.se: predicted/final grades, transcripts, diplomas/certificates. You also upload your passport. Find information about what required documents to submit from your country here. Read the general instructions for international Bachelor’s applicants here.
All applicants can upload documents themselves at their account with UniversityAdmissions.se But if your school doesn’t want to give the predicted grades directly to you as a student, the school can email them directly to UniversityAdmissions (UHR) to verifications@uhr.se. Write your application number in the email. There is a supporting documentation deadline on February 2nd in case your school cannot issue predicted grades or fall semester grades by the application deadline on January 15, 2027. Just make sure to submit both application #1 (UniversityAdmissions) and application #2 (SSE's application portal Full Fabric) before January 15, and make a note in the application sent to us stating what date you will submit the documents from your school.
Please note: only upload diploma/transcripts and English test results to UniversityAdmissions.se. Do NOT upload CV/resume or SAT/ACT/ITB-Business test scores. This is done directly to SSE when you submit application #2 (see next step).- Important information for gap year students applying with final grades:
If you're a gap year student applying with final grades, submit your final grades as soon as possible so that the Swedish Council of Higher Education can assess and convert your qualifications. - Important information for students applying with predicted grades
If you apply with predicted grades, you generally submit transcripts from year 10, 11, and fall semester grades from year 12. And preferably, predicted final grades.
- If you're an IB student applying with predicted grades, make sure to submit transcripts from your first IB year as well as predicted final IB grades.
- If you're a student at an American High School applying with predicted grades, the school must email transcripts directly to UniversityAdmissions (UHR) to verifications@uhr.se and write your application number in the email.
- When you apply with predicted grades, you might receive a message from UniversityAdmissions.se stating that you have an incomplete application. The reason is that most Swedish universities do not accept predicted grades and the information is not always aligned with SSE's specific application process. However, SSE does indeed accept predicted grades, so you may ignore that message.
Application fee deadline: February 2, 2027 (only for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens)
Please note: SSE does not charge an application fee.
However, UniversityAdmissions.se charges a small application fee of SEK 900 for non- EU/EEA/Swiss citizens. There are however, some exceptions to this general rule. I’m in my final year of high school and won’t have my grades before the application deadline. Can I still apply?
Yes. Students graduating from high school/IB the same year as the start of their SSE studies are welcome to apply but must upload a study plan including predicted grades and previous grades in the application. Exactly how this is done depends on which country you are from. Make sure to check what applies to your country on this page.
A study plan is something from your school (e.g. enrolment schedule) that shows what you are/will be studying the coming/final semester, to complete your diploma. Preferably, this includes your predicted grades, but if not, we’ll use your current transcripts to estimate your final grades.
Conditional admissions will be offered to students graduating after the application deadline. You must complete your application with final grades and documents no later than by the date of enrolment in August. -
I have a Swedish citizenship, but studied outside of Sweden. Should I apply as an international student?
