Book talk: Adrian Wooldridge on the crisis of liberalism
Join the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication for a book talk with Adrian Wooldridge on liberalism, populism and the future of the political center at SSE.
How did we end up here?
Liberalism is facing renewed challenges from both the left and the right. At this book talk, historian, writer, and columnist Adrian Wooldridge will discuss the crisis of liberalism, the rise of populism and authoritarian tendencies, and what might come next.
Drawing on his new book, Centrists of the World Unite! (Swedish title: Den revolutionära mitten), Wooldridge will explore how liberalism reached its current position and what could be done to rebuild the political center.
The conversation will be moderated by Rikard Westerberg, Director of the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication.
Wooldridge is a columnist for Bloomberg Opinion and was previously political editor of The Economist.
The event will be held in English. The Swedish translation of the book will be available for purchase at a special event price.
