Do you know where to go if you are told to seek shelter near the Stockholm School of Economics? To kick off Sweden’s Preparedness Week, the Center for Security and Resilience (CfSR) and the Center for Sports and Business (CSB) invite SSE students and staff on a walk to identify civil defense shelters close to the School.
Sweden has more than 64,000 civil defense shelters intended to provide protection in the event of war. But knowing where the shelters are located is an important part of being prepared to use them.
During the walk, we will visit the civil defense shelters closest to the Stockholm School of Economics within approximately a one-kilometer radius. The aim is to help participants recognize where they can seek protection if they are near SSE and the authorities instruct the public to take shelter.
The walk combines physical activity with a practical opportunity to strengthen individual preparedness.
The event is organized by the Center for Security and Resilience (CfSR) together with the Center for Sports and Business (CSB) as part of Sweden’s Preparedness Week.
