Home preparedness: What, when, and how

How prepared is your household for a crisis or war? During Sweden’s Preparedness Week, Anna Teljfors from the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency (MCF) joins SSE to explain what home preparedness means, when it matters, and the practical steps individuals can take to become better prepared.

Please note that a light lunch will be served.

Swedish preparedness policy expects households to be able to manage without support from society for at least one week during a serious crisis or war. Yet evidence from Sweden and other countries suggests that turning preparedness recommendations into action is not always straightforward.

The Center for Security and Resilience (CfSR) therefore welcomes Anna Teljfors from the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency (MCF) to the Stockholm School of Economics during Preparedness Week.

Practical steps toward better preparedness

During the lunch seminar, Teljfors will break down home preparedness: what it means, when it is needed, and how to approach it in practice.

The seminar will focus on practical steps that can help individuals and households become better prepared to manage disruptions, crises, and wartime conditions.
