Career services

Throughout your time at SSE, we complement your academic development with practical tools, guidance, and opportunities that support your professional growth.

Career support and coaching

As a student, you have access to career coaching throughout your time at SSE. We support you in exploring career options, planning your next steps, and preparing for internships, graduate roles, and long-term career development.

You can book individual coaching sessions to discuss topics such as career direction, CVs and cover letters, interviews, and career-related decisions. We help you identify opportunities, develop practical skills, and make informed choices about your future.

Workshops and events

Throughout the academic year, we offer workshops and events designed to support your career development. Topics vary based on student needs and developments in the labor market, but may include career planning, application documents, interviews, networking, and recruitment trends.

These activities help you build practical skills, learn from professionals and employers, and gain insights into different industries and career paths.

Mentorship programs

SSE offers mentorship programs that connect you with alumni and professionals from a range of industries.

MSc Mentorship Program
The MSc Mentorship Program pairs Master students with mentors from SSE’s alumni network and Corporate Partners. Over the course of an academic year, you gain insights into career paths, workplace expectations, and professional development, while expanding your professional network.

BSc Mentorship Program
The BSc Mentorship Program, organized by the Student Association at SSE (SASSE), connects undergraduate students with alumni. The program provides an opportunity to discuss career options, share experiences, and explore future paths.
