SSE Business Lab’s vision is to firmly establish itself as the first choice for exceptional entrepreneurs, while promoting entrepreneurship and innovation across the SSE community and the larger society.
SSE Business Lab was founded in 2001 and has since provided more than 300 students, alumni and faculty members at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) with support in making their business ideas a reality. Throughout the years, numerous SSE Business Lab startups have become highly successful, cementing the position of SSE Business Lab as the best-performing initiative of its kind.
Approximately ten startups annually are accepted to the incubator and are offered an office for six months, as well as access to a first-class partner program consisting of leading actors in law, accounting, cloud services and more. SSE Business Lab connects you with SSE alumni, business angels, investors and the startup network of Stockholm to support maximal growth of your venture. Most importantly, the companies get access to each other – working wall-to-wall in an entrepreneurial hotspot where ideas, knowledge and new perspectives are only a couple of doors away.
Being a wholly-owned non-profit subsidiary of the Stockholm School of Economics, SSE Business Lab is closely connected to the students and alumni at the school and is the go-to place for those who are interested in starting their own companies. The combination between highly talented students, experienced alumni and the expertise of the SSE Business Lab network has made SSE Business Lab a centrepiece in the Swedish startup scene and put the Stockholm School of Economics on the map as a major source of entrepreneurial talent.
The best startups at SSE Business Lab will get the opportunity to present your company to industry leaders and professionals at the annual events Homecoming, Corporate Partners Annual Meeting and alumni gatherings in London and New York. In cooperation with KTH Innovation, one startup will get to participate in the Brighter Program's visit in Silicon Valley.
