The Bonnier Staircases are the two monumental staircases flanking the entrance at Sveavägen 65. The space presents works by some of Sweden’s most prominent contemporary artists.
The Bonnier Staircases
Through a collaboration between the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation, Bonniers Konsthall, and the Stockholm School of Economics, works from the foundation’s collection are displayed at SSE for extended periods of time.
The Bonnier Staircases
The purpose of art is to be displayed and experienced, not stored in a warehouse.
The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation
The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation was established in 1985 by Jeanette Bonnier in memory of her daughter Maria Bonnier Dahlin, who died in a car accident. Since 1986, the foundation has awarded annual scholarships to support and highlight emerging Swedish artists.
The collection represents more than 30 years of Swedish contemporary art, reflecting a wide range of techniques, artistic influences, and themes.
The Stockholm School of Economics is grateful for the support of the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation and Bonniers Konsthall in making the Bonnier Staircases possible. Through this collaboration, works from the foundation’s collection are displayed at SSE over extended periods of time.
