One fig

Ingela Ihrman's One Fig (2020) is screened on Lill-skärmen in the north corridor on the ground floor of Sveavägen 65, in connection to The Toad on the big screen and the Ingela Ihrman exhibition Nocturnal Games at Bonniers konsthall, opening March 11.

About the artwork

Someone in a purple fig costume divides itself in two halves as if a knife was cutting through the fruit. The cut exposes the fleshy interior of the fig. The halved fig leaves its other half behind and walks away. There is something both matter-of-fact and quietly devastating about it — the ease of the separation, and the solitude of the half that remains.

The Toad
(2012) is showing at the same time on the big screen in the atrium, in connection with Ihrman's exhibition Nocturnal Games at Bonniers konsthall.
