The Lindgren Room
In October 2019, SSE inaugurated the newly renovated classroom 342, now renamed the Lindgren Room in honor of the teacher Ragnar Lindgren. Alongside his work as a teacher and mentor, Lindgren played an important role in the development of the Department of Finance at SSE during the 1990s.
The renovation of the classroom was supported by SSE alumni Lars Bane and Johan Thorell. The room was designed to support flexible and collaborative learning.
The artworks by Norberg and Sundén are permanently installed in the room. Inspired by educational philosophies associated with pioneers such as Renate Müller, John Dewey, and Marion Richardson, the works explore alternative approaches to learning through play, action, and image-making.
