As a continuation of the Flag Project, SSE Art Initiative and its student body, the Art Division, hung a Ukrainian flag in the school’s atrium. The flag was created by Jacob Dahlgren and his studio in support of Ukraine.

The Flag Project
The work continues Dahlgren’s Flag Project, which was presented at SSE in autumn 2021 as a multiform exhibition developed with students and members of the school community. The project brings abstraction out of the traditional canvas and into shared public space through collaboratively designed flags.
Lars and Tinni, two art flags created for SSE in 2021, are also part of the Flag Project.
About the artist
Jacob Dahlgren (born 1970) lives and works in Stockholm. His practice explores abstraction through repeated patterns, everyday manufactured objects and participatory projects. The Flag Project invites participants to translate their own abstract designs into professionally produced flags, creating a collective visual field.
