Claes Hake (1945–2025) was born in Gothenburg and studied at Valand Academy of Art. He was one of Sweden’s most widely represented artists in public spaces.
Hake is primarily known for his large-scale stone sculptures, including monumental arcs, arches, and gateways. His works are powerful and minimalist, often evoking associations with ancient monuments and sacred sites.
