Lina Selander & Oscar Mangione: Soli Deo Gloria

Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone) is a large-scale installation exploring monetary history and its relationship to social change. Originally displayed on the tenth floor of the School’s library rotunda, the work combines found footage with text fragments drawn from both academic and literary sources. (Temporarily removed in March 2024)

The installation examines historical, cultural, and symbolic dimensions of money, value systems, and belief. Through a layered visual and textual narrative, the work invites reflection on the ways economic structures intersect with social and ideological change.

In this collaborative project, Lina Selander continues her exploration of history, memory, and systems of value. The work was created together with Oscar Mangione and curated by Isak Nilson of Art Initiative.
