Incubate
Incubate serves as a launching pad for venture teams that have recently launched their prototype and are focusing on commercialization.
Three times a year, teams are accepted into the six-month program and by reaching the goals set, they could get extended up to 18 months. The purpose of the program is to enable ventures with a scalable product or service and international potential to accelerate their growth.
During the program, the team will receive tailored coaching and a personal mentor, access to support from a wide range of partners. They will also get access to a large network of entrepreneurs, investors and talent as well as office space at A house.
Six months after entering the program, all startups will get to pitch their ventures in front of an invite-only audience of angel investors and VC firms at the SSE Business Lab Demo Day. Throughout the program, SSE Business Lab hosts Investor Office Hours, where startups get a chance to sit down with investors who are invited.
The startups also get access to workshops on relevant topics, called Expert Hours, throughout the program. These workshops are hosted by external experts within the SSE Business Lab network, and cover topics based on the startups' current needs.
Startups that fit certain criteria are eligible to receive funding from organizations such as Vinnova, Innovationskontoret, Almi, and Grosshandelsocietet to cover costs related to growing their business with external expertise. In cooperation with KTH Innovation, student-run startups can participate in the Brighter Program's visit to Silicon Valley, New York, Tokyo, London, or Munich in the fall each year.
