Emancipated embodiment: between Work and Dance

What about embodiment in intellectual work? Studying dance interventions in a bank positioned the participants in a grey zone between work and leasure. How does then embodiment take place in such situations. What strategies of defense or preservation do employees use when facing artists at work? How do they propose rare gestures labelled as critical play? Does the introduction of dance entail more material risk taking, a different relation to norms within the organization and propose ways to change work settings and organizational control.

Dr Emilie Reinhold; Paris-Dauphine and Göteborgs Handelshögskola is currently developing her post doc projects based on her dissertation using inspiration from Gilles Deleuze to understand the full potential of organized bodies at work.
