Niklas Hjalmarsson
Ice Hockey
After winning three Stanley Cups in the NHL, Niklas Hjalmarsson is among Sweden’s best ice hockey players. He began his professional career with the Jönköping-based club HV71 before moving to the United States to play for the Chicago Blackhawks. After 12 years with the Blackhawks, Hjalmarsson was traded to the Arizona Coyotes, where he played for five years before returning to Sweden and HV71, where he retired from ice hockey in 2023. Outside of hockey, he has co-founded a restaurant in his hometown of Jönköping and is an ambassador for the children’s charity Tappra Barn.
