Lisa Nordén
Triathlon
Growing up, Lisa Nordén competed in the equestrian sport eventing (fälttävlan). When her horse suffered a long-term injury, and her family could not afford another horse, she decided to shift her focus to triathlon instead. Today, Nordén is Sweden’s leading triathlon athlete and has won one Olympic silver medal, three World Championship gold medals, including one in U23, and nine Swedish Championship gold medals. She was also the only Swede in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and set the world record in an Ironman bike split at 4:21.15. While Nordén is still active as an athlete, she also runs her own company and serves on the board of the Swedish Triathlon Association.
