Henrik Karlsson is a Swedish-Kazakh former professional ice hockey player, often nicknamed the Calgary Tower because of his height of 198 cm. Before his professional career, he played for Botkyrka HC while working as a substitute teacher. He then went on to play professionally for several Swedish hockey clubs and was drafted by the Calgary Flames and later the Chicago Blackhawks in the United States. After several seasons in the United States, he returned to Sweden before leaving again, this time to play for the Kazakhstan national team. He played in two World Championships with Kazakhstan.
